Rebecca Miller currently holds the esteemed position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Hospice of the Chesapeake. Her journey with the organization began in October 2021 when she assumed the role of Chief Clinical Officer. Recognizing her exceptional leadership and dedication, she swiftly ascended to the position of Chief Operating Officer in December 2022 and, finally, to the helm of CEO in February 2024.
During her tenure as COO, Miller spearheaded the hospice’s clinical leadership team, emphasizing the delivery of high-quality patient care experiences. Now, as CEO, her vision extends beyond the present, guiding the organization towards the future of healthcare. She is committed to establishing sustainable programs that respond to the needs of the seriously ill population while also amplifying the regional healthcare footprint through the introduction of new initiatives, diversification strategies, and innovative solutions.
With over 25 years of invaluable hospice experience, including beginning her hospice journey as a patient care volunteer, she has served in notable roles such as Chief Operating Officer at Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care in Illinois, and Hope Health in Rhode Island. Most recently serving as the Illinois Director of Hospice Operations with Advocate Aurora Health Care, Ms. Miller brings a wealth of expertise to her current position.
A licensed clinical social worker by profession, Ms. Miller earned both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Her educational background coupled with her extensive industry knowledge underscores her ability to lead Hospice of the Chesapeake with compassion, insight, and vision.
