Grief 101

Grief is a natural response to the death of a loved one, and uniquely affects each person physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and socially. This training provides an introduction to the universal grief process, the unique ways in which individuals experience and express grief, and a basic overview of how culture impacts grief in American society. How models of grief processes are applied in grief counseling will also be explored. Cost is $40. Free to Hospice of the Chesapeake volunteers.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Coffee and fruit will be provided.
3.0 Category I continuing education units for social workers licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.
Chesapeake Life Center at Hospice of the Chesapeake is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education programs and maintains full responsibility for this program. This training qualifies for Category I continuing education units.
