Chesapeake Life Center has once again made plans for its popular Living with Loss through the Holidays series. Additionally, there is a new event to help anybody who might find the holidays difficult to navigate.

Handling the Holidays is a workshop timed to happen before the holiday rush begins. The Chesapeake Life Center team and members of the local integrative arts community will offer activities for all ages. The workshop is not only for grievers, but also caregivers and anybody who struggles with the hustle and bustle of this season. Held at the beautiful Burnett Center for Hope and Healing, 4559 Sixes Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland, the workshop will offer support, honor memories, and explore coping strategies throughout the holiday season. It will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 26. The cost is $10.

Then, in November, the center will offer the season’s first Living with Loss through the Holidays workshop at its offices at 9500 Medical Center Drive, Suite 250, Largo, Maryland. Designed for grieving adults and teens ages 15 and older and led by grief professionals, participants can join in group activities that help them find a way to honor the memory of their loved ones while still granting themselves permission to grieve. It will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 16. The cost is $10.

The final workshop offers activities for the whole family to participate. This Living with Loss through the Holidays session will be held on the John & Cathy Belcher Campus, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, Maryland, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5. It will include breakout sessions for various age groups and other activities to help them find ways to honor their loved ones during this season. The cost is $10.

Registration is required and can be completed by calling 1-888-501-7077 or emailing griefinfo@chesapeakelifecenter.org.
