Every work of art is a moment captured in time when “it” resonated to the artist, compelling them to share its unique quality.
That is the idea behind “Reflections,” the theme of a new exhibit by the Maryland Federation of Art, now showing in Hospice of the Chesapeake’s Gallery 90, the art gallery located throughout the nonprofit’s administrative building on the John & Cathy Belcher Campus at 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, Maryland.
The limited showing is on display through July 1 and features the work of five MFA members: Richard Niewerth, Maggie O’Leary, Angela Petruncio, Wil Scott and Kate Stillwell.
You can register now for a docent-led tour that will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. June 14 or schedule a private tour for your group by contacting Renate Little at rlittle@hospicechesapeake.org or 443-837-1512.
To realize the vision of creating a harmonious work environment for Hospice of the Chesapeake administrative and clinical staff as well as for visitors, caregivers and volunteers, the MFA and Hospice of the Chesapeake formed a partnership. The art on display also is for sale, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting both organizations. People can also see the art that is on display and make purchases via the online gallery at https://mdfedart.com/mfaentry/salesgallery/index.php?event=157
